DemandTools - CSV File Options

Applicable to:

• MassEffect Exports
• Find/Report ID's results files
• Restore and IdSave Files

Default file options that apply to ANY CSV files created by DemandTools.

1. CSV Separator:  "Comma" (default), "Tab" or type in another desired character as the separator (e.g. |)
2. Encoding:  PC's "Default" encoding (default), UTF8, Unicode, ASCII, BigEndian Unicode, UTF32, UTF7
   • UTF8 is recommended when working with double byte character sets (i.e. Kanji, Cyrillic etc.)

3. Text Qualifier:  Double Quote (default), Single Quote or type in another desired character as the qualifier
4. Force Text Qualifier on Exported Strings
   • Checked: ALL fields will be wrapped in double quotes
   • Unchecked (default): Only string fields that contain a comma or CR/LF will be wrapped in double quotes

Note: These options can be overridden in MassEffect using the "CSV Custom Settings" in the Data Export window
