To create Account/Opportunity Partners use the "Partner" table and MassEffect.
Be sure to select Insert mode on the right or it will not show in the list of tables as Partner records can only be inserted or deleted (not updated).
The type of Partner created is based on the fields mapped to.
To create Opportunity Partners:
- Map just the Opportunity ID and the Account To ID (DO NOT map the Account From ID).
To create Account Partners:
- Map just the Account From ID and the Account To ID (DO NOT map the Opportunity ID).
Mapping to all 3 fields (Account From ID, Account To ID & Opportunity ID) will result in the following error:
- 2011-01-24T09:38:09-07:00,,"",,Insert,,,,," Message: Cannot specify both Opportunity and AccountFrom: Opportunity ID, Account From ID Status code: 53"
NOTE: "Primary" and "Role" can also be mapped for either type of Partner record.
