I’m having an issue when inserting data to activities to the comments field. The text is being cut off, is there something I need to do before the import?
ANSWER:
When you import text from Excel or CSV files, the cells may be trimmed to 256 characters due to limitations with MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) in the way they treat XLS files as database files.
If you can import the data into a "Memo" field in Access and then send that data to salesforce via MassEffect you will be able to import the longer text strings.
