QUESTION:
I am running 32 bit PeopleImport 2.10, and I am having problems reading .csv and .xlsx files:
csv files result in the error: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine
xlsx files result in the error "File has no data" with a row count of -1
Note: xls files work.
How can I resolve?
ANSWER:
This version was updated to the use the newer "Microsoft.Ace.Oledb" driver vs. the "Microsoft.Jet.OleDb" driver for reading files in PeopleImport.
The errors occur when running Office 2013 32 or 64bit versions, and/or running a 64bit version of Office 2010 or lower.
To resolve, download the 32bit Microsoft Access Database Engine from the following link:
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/confirmation.aspx?id=23734
The 32 bit version of the driver is needed because this version of PeopleImport is a 32-bit application.
