QUESTION:
I am getting the following error when attempting to login: "Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed"
How can I resolve this error?
ANSWER:
When using Parallels on a MAC this error will occur when attempting to login to PeopleImport if the "MyDocuments" folder is being shared with the OSX documents folder.
To resolve, access the MAC OS, in the menu bar at the top click on Devices->Shared Folders and uncheck the "Share Mac OS X folders with Windows" option.
NOTE:
Doing this may make it difficult to share data files between the two operating systems (may have to setup another share). Also, the C: drive "My Documents" are now held on the virtual machine opposed to being shared with the Mac OS; a best practice is to make a backup of your virtual machine before making the change.
