Some PeopleImport users utilize the application to only find matches and then associate the found matches to a Campaign and/or Task. They do not update data on the found matched Salesforce records or create records for the non-matches; they simple associate the matches to an existing Salesforce Campaign and/or create Task(s).
Here’s how:
- Stage 1:
- All Field Mappings must be set to Do Not Update
- Stage 2:
- Use or do not use conditions per your needs
- Stage 3:
- Create Lead and/or Contact match steps per your needs
- Final Matching Conditions must be set to Do Nothing
- User may opt to associate the Campaign and create the Task at the Step level in Stage 3
- Users will choose the step level if the Campaign or Task needs to be different based on the object (Lead or Contact)
- User may opt to associate the Campaign and create the Task at the Step level in Stage 3
- Stage 4
- Select a Campaign and Member Status and create Tasks
- Users will choose to associate the Campaign and create the Task(s) in Stage 4 if all records are to be associated with the same Campaign and receive the same Task(s)
- Select a Campaign and Member Status and create Tasks
- Stage 5
- Process if confident in results
