Deliverability best practices and troubleshooting support
- Follow UOL's best practices as listed on their postmaster website.
- Sign up for the UOL complaint feedback loop and suppress subscribers that complain. UOL uses subscriber complaint data as a major factor in filtering decisions.
- Ensure your system is not configured to act as an open relay or open proxie.
- Connections are not accepted from systems using a dynamic IP address to send to UOL subscribers. Use a dedicated or shared IP address.
- Configure all IPs with valid reverse DNS (PTR) records. Connection attempts from Improperly configured IPs may be rejected.
- Have a list hygiene strategy in place to remove or suppress unknown and unengaged users from your email list. Email sent to too many unknown users may be blocked.
- Monitor UOL's SMTP response codes when encountering delivery issues. The SMTP response codes provide additional information to help you troubleshoot.
- Authenticate all email with SPF and DKIM.
- UOL does not disclose which blocklists are used in filtering decisions, but you should ensure that your IP addresses and domains are not listed on any important blocklists.
Mediation
- UOL does not have a public mediation process.
