When you enable SAML SSO for your Validity products, you can provision users in one of three ways. Learn more about SAML SSO in MyValidity.
Method 1: Auto-provision user
If you would like MyValidity users to be automatically created on a user’s first attempt to sign into a product, select the Provision User checkbox when you set up SAML SSO.
Note: This process creates a MyValidity user, but it does not associate a product license to the user. Your MyValidity administrator must go into MyValidity and associate a product license to the new user.
Method 2: Invite user
This method allows you to invite an individual user. To invite many users at once, you may want to import users (see Method 3).
- Sign into your Validity Account.
- Select the dropdown menu under your name and account at top right.
- Select Users.
- Select Manage Users from the dropdown, then select Invite User.
- Fill out all the required fields and select Invite.
At this point, the user is created but is not yet active in MyValidity. There is no product reset email to prompt the user to log in.
Instead, direct your user to log in directly to the product (like DemandTools or GridBuddy Connect). The user will enter their email and then select SSO. This will activate the user in MyValidity.
Method 3: Import users
This method allows you to invite many users at once.
- Sign into your Validity Account.
