A Certified IP address may be suspended for being out of compliance with Certification standards and requirements. Some examples of non-compliance include:
- Exceeding Certification performance thresholds, such as complaint rates, spam traps, or blocklistings
- A security issue, including an open relay
- An infrastructure problem, such as an incorrect or missing reverse DNS (rDNS) entry
The metrics associated with your emails must stay below the thresholds set for Certification. If your email metrics do not stay below the performance thresholds, the IP address will be suspended from the Certification list until you correct the problem.
The Daily Performance Report (DPR) notifies you of IP addresses that have been suspended and provides information about the cause. Understanding why your IP address was suspended will enable you to troubleshoot the problem, get back into compliance, and get the IP address re-enabled.
