An allowlist is a list of IP addresses or domains that are provided privileged access or treatment. It is the opposite of a blocklist, which is intended to block or restrict access.
Some mailbox providers include senders with a good reputation on allowlists to allow their email to bypass some of their spam filters and provide prioritized delivery. Validity's Email Certification program is considered an allowlist for delivery at participating mailbox providers.
