Graymail spam, often referred to as bacn (bacon), is solicited bulk email that subscribers opt in to receive, but stop engaging with over time. As the recipients' interest in it diminishes, the likelihood of them reporting it as spam increases.
In some cases, graymail spam can account for up to 82 percent of the average inbox.
