What is Signal Spam?
Signal Spam is an association that includes french email industry players (anti-spam, MBP's, ESP's, etc.) and authorities like CNIL, Gendarmerie, and french Police agencies. Validity has been a member of Signal Spam since 2007 and a sponsor since 2014.
What Signal Spam data are included in Certification?
As of April 2019, we show raw daily and 30-day aggregate complaint counts at Orange and SFR.
Where can I find Signal Spam data within the Certification product?
This data is available within the Daily Performance Report (DPR) csv attachment and Certification dashboard, within the data downloads and the user interface.
Where else does Validity use Signal Spam data?
In addition to Certification, Validity uses Signal Spam data in Everest.
How does Signal Spam collect its data?
Signal Spam collects spam directly from mailbox providers and end users via web-app reporting and MUA plugins. They receive an average of 800,000 message-level reports per month from more than 450,000 users. Signal Spam receives daily, IP-based aggregate data from regional MBP's like Orange and SFR.
What makes Signal Spam data valuable?
Signal Spam data is one of the few ways companies who send mail to french mailboxes can troubleshoot deliverability issues at Orange and SFR, which combined represent 15MM active mailboxes and around 21% of senders' lists in France.
Why does the feed exclude volume?
Signal Spam does not receive ISP or ESP sending volume and therefore cannot share it.

What is Vade?
Vade is an international anti-spam company that specializes in anti-phishing, phishing, and email filtering. Major global ISPs and enterprises use Vade's advanced anti-spam analysis to manage inbound and outbound email.
What data is included in the Vade Filter Engine feed?
As of April 2019, we show three-IP based Vade data points:
- Volume: number of attempted messages sent
- Spam: number of messages filtered/directed to spam folder
- Complaints: number of complaints (TIS)
Where can I find Vade data within the Certification product?
This data is available within the Daily Performance Report csv attachment and the Certification dashboard's user interface and data downloads.
Where else does Validity use Vade data?
We do not currently surface Vade data to clients in any products other than Certification.
Why is Vade data valuable?
Vade data provides unique insights for email performance in markets where Validity Certification is used. Vade's data covers myriad markets.
