- Sign into your PagerDuty account by visiting https://app.pagerduty.com/.
- If you don’t already have a PagerDuty account, please visit https://signup.pagerduty.com/accounts/new to create one.
- After successfully signing in, select Configuration, then Services.
- Select Add Services.
- You will be prompted to create a name for your new service. Enter the name for your service and select Use our API Directly.
- Scroll down the page and select Add Service.
- Copy your Integration Key.
- Sign in to Everest.
- Use the navigation menu at left to go to My Everest, then Alerts.
- Select New Alert. This will open the New Alert slideout.
- Enter a description for your alert. For clarity, give the alert a description that indicates these alerts are coming from PagerDuty.
- Use the Category dropdown menu to select the category for which you wish to receive notifications.
- Select the Notify me via PagerDuty toggle switch.
- Enter the PagerDuty Integration Key in the field that appears.
- Use the Run This Alert dropdown menu to select the frequency with which you would like to receive notifications.
- You can optionally select the Don’t include repetitive items in alerts checkbox to turn off repeating alerts. For instance, if you are blocklisted for any reason, this option will ensure you are only notified once.
- Select Save Alert.
