Using a custom domain ensures that links in other users’ emails do not influence the reputation of yours.
If possible, we recommend using a fully qualified domain that you control for the best possible protection. All that is required is creating a CNAME DNS entry that points to everestengagement.com.
- In almost all cases, you will create the CNAME DNS entry not on your top level domain, but a subdomain such as analytics.domain.com.
Once you have created your custom domain, add it to your Everest account:
- Sign in to Everest.
- Use the navigation menu at left to go to My Everest, then Apps & Integrations.
- Scroll down to the Utilities section, then find the Tracking Pixel widget and select Settings.
- Select the Manage Domains tab.
- Select New Domain.
- Add your CNAME.
- Select Save.
See the list below for more information on creating a CNAME DNS entry on some common DNS providers.
