BriteVerify offers two options for billing: subscription and pay-as-you-go (or PAYG).
- Subscription billing provides advantages if your usage is regular and predictable.
- Pay-as-you-go allows for flexibility if your usage is irregular or harder to predict. There are no commitments and no contracts.
This article talks about pay-as-you-go billing.
Billing
Longtime BriteVerify users will notice a change to pay-as-you-go billing. Previously, BriteVerify metered your usage and issued an invoice at the end of each month. To make your billing experience more predictable, BriteVerify now offers credits for purchase up front, which you can then spend on verifications.
Under this new system, you will be required to have a credit balance to perform verifications using any method (UI or API). Once your account reaches a zero balance, verifications are paused until you replenish your credit balance.
Credits expire one year from the date of purchase. If you purchase credits on August 15, for example, your credits expire the following year on August 15 at 11:59 pm ET.
New accounts begin with a zero-credit balance, but you can purchase credits as you perform your first file upload. A minimum purchase of 700 credits is required.
With this change, we are consolidating the Pricing Details and Payment Details tabs into a new Billing & Receipts tab. Here, you can check your credit balance, edit your credit card information, see receipts, and configure your Auto-replenish settings.
Receipts
Every transaction, whether manually purchased or Auto-replenished, will generate a receipt.
You can view your receipts by going to Settings, then Billing & Receipts. Near the bottom of the page, you will see the Receipts section.
Note: If you migrated from the previous billing system, you will still be able to view your invoices from past cycles. These will appear below the Receipts section.
Updating payment information
Accounts whose payment information cannot be processed will lose access to verifications.
- You can correct payment information and restore full functionality to your account without the need for support. To do this:
- Sign in to BriteVerify.
- Under the Billing & Receipts tab, update your payment information.
- Select Save.
- If your account has a credit balance, verification functionality will remain until the credits are spent. This allows you to continue verifications while you update payment information.
An account that has set up Auto-replenish, but whose payment information cannot be processed, will have Auto-replenish turned off after three unsuccessful attempts to charge the card on file. To turn Auto-replenish back on:
- Sign in to BriteVerify.
- Under the Billing & Receipts tab, update your payment information.
- Select Auto-replenish ON.
- Select Save.
