BriteVerify offers two options for billing: subscription and pay-as-you-go (or PAYG).
- Subscription billing provides advantages if your usage is regular and predictable.
- Pay-as-you-go allows for flexibility if your usage is irregular or harder to predict. There are no commitments and no contracts.
This article talks about verification credits within pay-as-you-go billing.
Verification credits
To make your billing experience more predictable, BriteVerify offers credits for purchase up front, which you can then spend on verifications. One credit equals one verification, with various pricing bundles depending on how many credits you need.
Under this system, you will be required to have a credit balance to perform verifications using any method (UI or API). Once your account reaches a zero balance, verifications are paused until you replenish your credit balance.
Credits expire one year from the date of purchase. If you purchase credits on August 15, for example, your credits expire the following year on August 15 at 11:59 pm ET.
New accounts begin with a zero-credit balance, but you can purchase credits as you perform your first file upload. A minimum purchase of 700 credits is required.
Adding Credits
You can purchase credits inside the BriteVerify web app in one of two ways:
While preparing for verification The most convenient way to get credits is during the file upload process. At the review step, you can see whether you have enough credits to complete the transaction. If you don't, you can add credits right then. We even do the math to tell you how many credits you need. |

Checking your balance
Check your account's credit balance at any time at the bottom of the left navigation bar.
You can also go to the Credits tab to see your credit history. Here, you can clearly see what credit bundles you've purchased and when they expire.
Auto-replenish
We're also introducing Auto-replenish, a way for you to automatically refill your credit balance using a card on file.
To set up Auto-replenish:

Auto-replenish will watch your account balance and, when your account dips below 25% of the amount you entered, it will purchase and add more credits. For example, an account with an Auto-replenish amount of 20,000 credits will refill when the credit balance falls below 5,000 credits, which is 25% of 20,000.
Note: Auto-replenish is required for API usage. This allows API customers to avoid interruptions due to credit depletion.
