QUESTION:
I am getting the following error when I try to export to a file in MassEffect:
- Unable to save that file. Make sure the file is not open and try again. Error: Column is out of range.
How can I resolve?
ANSWER:
This error will occur when more than 256 fields have been selected for an export and attempting to save the export as .xls.
.xls files cannot handle more than 256 columns.
Export to either .csv or .xlsx file type
NOTE: Access 2003, .mdb, has a 256 column limitation, too.
