QUESTION:
When I try to create a trial I get an error message: You must have administrative rights on this account to use the tools.
How can I obtain a trial?
ANSWER:
This error occurs when the user requesting the trial does not have the Salesforce profile permission, Modify All Data. By default, DemandTools can only be used by administrators, i.e. Salesforce users with the Modify All Data permission.
**Access by non-administrators can be set up by contacting Validity support.
To obtain a trial:
1. Enable the Modify All Data permission on your profile and try again
or
2. Log a case including the ORG ID so we can manually create the account and enable non-admin access
**Note: DemandTools allows access to objects and records based on your Salesforce profile and sharing permissions. Accessing Salesforce via DemandTools will not increase or decrease a user's permissions or access.
