QUESTION:
I am trying to use the Bulk API option in MassEffect but I keep getting the error "Cannot Create Bulk Job" when I click process. BulkBackup is not working either the completion message says:
BulkBackup completed and there were X tables that did not backup. This could be due to a failure in the bulk export or that the object is NOT supported by the Salesforce Bulk API.
The logfile has the following error:
"Post XML Data fail: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request."
What am I doing wrong?
ANSWER:
Check what version of Salesforce you are running (this can be done by hovering over the browser tab in an open Salesforce window). If you are running Professional Edition then that is the issue. Salesforce DOES NOT support Bulk API in Professional Edition.
Note: If you are running a higher version and getting errors regarding Bulk then it could be that the Bulk API itself is experiencing issues. In that case it is best to try your job a little later.
