Warning Tasks
Tasks can be created to alert either the current user, the scenario owner or both when warnings are generated.
When a Yes option is selected, a pop-up will appear with a link to the task. This is the standard task reminder pop-up option in Salesforce. By default, DupeBlocker Tasks have this reminder option selected. There is an option in the DupeBlocker Settings , Disable Warning Task Reminders, to disable this pop-up.
DupeBlocker does not have an option to email the tasks to the "Assigned to" user. A custom trigger could be created, if desired, on the task object to generate the email. The trigger would need to check for the creation of tasks where the subject starts with "Potential duplicate".
The task will refer to the warning:
Click on the warning to get details about the potential duplicates.
Warning Components
DupeBlocker Duplicate Warning Detail
1. Warning Number: Unique number assigned to each warning
2. Scenario Type: The scenario type that triggered the warning
3. Created By: The user that inserted/updated the record which triggered the warning
4. Scenario: A link to the scenario that triggered the warning
- Click on this link to go directly to the scenario and review the matching rules
5. Triggering Action: Indicates whether the duplicate was detected from an insert or an update
6. Last Modified By: The last user that inserted/updated a record that either triggered the initial warning or added an additional duplicate to the existing warning
7. Delete: Select this button if you wish to delete the warning (e.g. reviewed the list of duplicates this warning pertains to, and the scenario that triggered the warning, but have determined the records are not in fact duplicates)
- Deleting a warning will also delete all warning tasks and DupeBlocker Potential Duplicates related lists that pertain to that warning
8. Merge/Convert Duplicates: Select this button to convert/merge the records (or a portion of the records) in the DupeBlocker Potential Duplicates related list.
- Warnings will be deleted if all the potential duplicates are converted/merged
- If a portion of the records should not be converted/merged then manually delete the warning after converting/merging the actual duplicates

DupeBlocker Potential Duplicates
A related list on the warning which shows the records that have been identified as potential duplicates. The list of potential duplicates is also accessible directly on the deduped object, assuming the Inline Potential Duplicates list was added to the object page layout as described in Initial Configuration.
Although the "Edit" option is visible to System Administrators, DupeBlocker Potential Duplicates should never be manually edited.
Potential Duplicate Number: Click on this link to get additional details on the potential duplicate.
1. Duplicate Number: Unique number assigned to each duplicate

3. Scenario Type: The scenario type that triggered the warning
4. Scenario: A link to the scenario that triggered the warning

5. Key: The key that was generated based on the scenario rules which was the basis for identifying the duplicate
6. Object Type: The type of Object that was matched (Lead/Contact or Account
7. Duplicate Record: A link to the specific Account/Contact or Lead record this duplicate is related to
- Click on this link to go directly to the actual Account/Contact or Lead
- Review the details and determine if the potential duplicates should in fact be merged
8. Phone: Phone number on the record
9. Email: If the matching record was a Lead or Contact, shows the email address on the record
Object Type: Indicates the type(s) of objects identified as duplicates
Duplicate Record: Links to all the Accounts/Contacts or Leads included in this warning
- Click on this link to go directly to the actual Account/Contact or Lead
- Review the details and determine if the potential duplicates should in fact be merged
