QUESTION:
When I access the DupeBlocker Today tab using the Firefox or Chrome browser, all I see is the status block and then a blank white screen. It was working before, and it works in Internet Explorer, did something change in Firefox and Chrome that is causing this to not be shown anymore?
ANSWER:
Yes. Starting in Firefox 23 and Chrome 30, pages that contain "mixed content" are automatically blocked. The DupeBlocker Today blog is HTTP whereas Salesforce is HTTPS. Attempting to display the HTTP content on an HTTPS site is blocked now by default. To unblock and show the content:
- Firefox: Click on the 'shield' icon in the top-left corner of the address bar and select 'Disable Protection on This Page'.
- Chrome: Click on the 'shield' icon in the top-right corner of the address bar and select 'Load unsafe script'.
NOTE: Known issue in Chrome version 34: Load unsafe script is not working and should be resolved in the next version update to the browser.
