QUESTION:
I have a scenario set to "Redirect to Existing" and it does not seem to be working correctly. Instead of being redirected to the matching record(s), the duplicate is just blocked with the following error message:
Error: Invalid Data.
Review all error messages below to correct your data.
DupeBlocker: Duplicate found, insert blocked. Redirecting to the existing record.
ANSWER:
This is a known issue when using Google Chrome as your browser, and it only happens for certain orgs. We have notified Salesforce development of the issue as it involves the way Java Script is being handled in an error message which is not formally supported by Salesforce at this time.
The only resolution at this time is to use a different browser if you want the utilize the "Redirect to Existing" option. Both Internet Explorer and Firefox will redirect correctly.
