GridBuddy Connect - Datasource Authentication Type ”OAuth” (alternative to a Salesforce security token and credentials)

You can now authenticate a GridBuddy Connect Datasource using a Salesforce username/password, or OAuth. OAuth authenticates through the Salesforce login screen.  

If you want to authenticate with OAuth, follow these steps: 

1. Go to GridBuddyconnect.com and login to your account (this does not work through the Salesforce app yet) 

2. Click “Organization” and “Connections” 

3. Select the datasource you want to authenticate 

4. For “Authentication Type” select “OAuth” 

5. Click “Save” 

6. Click “Test Connection” 

7. A popup will appear that reads “Authenticate to this datasource? You will be redirected to the datasource’s login page” 

   1. Click “OK” 

8. You will see the Salesforce login page. Click ‘OK’ and your datasource will be successfully authenticated.
