The Manage Grids page allows you to create, edit or delete grids. You can deactivate grids here, as well as make use of other grid-related features.
On the Manage Grid Landing page you can use the following options:
- Manage Grids: A grid is a spreadsheet-style view of your data.
- Create a new grid or use the grid list to configure or delete an existing grid.
- Manage Extensions: Extensions extend the look and feel or functionality of all or specific grids.
- Create, update and delete extensions for your grids.
- Note: The JS language is JReact.
- Manage Actions: Actions are processes that run against your data. They can also be links to records, for example, in Salesforce pages, GridBuddy Connect grids, or external URLs or processes.
- Create, update and delete actions.
- Manage Tabbed Pages: Allows you to put grids together in a tabbed page which can be embedded onto a Salesforce record or onto a full page Salesforce tab.
- Create, update and delete tabbed pages.
- Import List Views: Allows you to import a Salesforce list view into a GridBuddy Connect grid.
- This feature is only available when using a Salesforce connection.
- Select your Salesforce connection, object, and import your list view.
- Import Related Lists: Allows you to replace the Related Salesforce objects with a tabbed page of fully editable grids.
- This feature is only available when using a Salesforce connection.
- Select your Salesforce connection, object, layouts, and generate your tabbed page.
- Feature Request Portal:
- Click the link to request a GridBuddy Connect feature and review which features are planned, in development, released, or currently not on the product roadmap.
- Be sure to include your business use case when submitting a feature request.
- Help Center: Access GridBuddy Connect help resources, including product documentation and on-demand instructional videos.
Deactivate/Reactivate Grids
To deactivate/reactivate grids a user must be logged in as an Admin or Standard user.
Deactivate Grids
- Select Manage Grids from the top menu
- Select one or multiple grids to deactivate
- Click Deactivate
- Confirm that you would like to deactivate
- Observe the status change to ‘Inactive’
Note – If selected grids have different status (some of them are already inactive), only currently active grids will be deactivated. Once a grid is deactivated it will not appear under the “Grids” tab and will not be accessible to users with the Grid User role.
Reactivate Grids
- Select Manage Grids from the top menu
- Select one or multiple grids to reactivate
- Click Reactivate
- Confirm that you would like to reactivate
- Observe the status change to ‘Active’
Note – If selected grids have different status (some of them are already active), only currently inactive grids will be reactivated.
