Admin Filters with GridBuddy Connect
- In Step 3 of the Grid Wizard, you can set up filters which will be attached to the grid and available to all users who access this grid. We recommend creating a filter for any view you know your end-users will need, to save them from having to create it themselves.
- You can filter and sort on parent object fields as well as child object fields. The goal here is to filter the grid down until you are showing only the records you need.
- To create an admin filter, go to GridBuddyConnect.com and click “Manage Grids.” Click on the grid you want to edit and navigate to step 3, “Define Filters.”
- Click “Create new filter” and give the filter a name, such as “No phone number” if you’re filtering to show all the records where a phone number does not exist.
- In the “filter by field” dropdown menu, pick the field you want to filter by. In this example, I’ll pick the “Address 1: Telephone 2” field. Select the criteria, such as “equals blank.”
