If you need a single grid to pull data from three production orgs, GridBuddy Connect (GBC) can do it.
- Set up all the necessary Connections in your GBC org
- In GridBuddy Connect, click “Manage Grids”
- Manage Grids Step 1:
- Click “New” to create a new grid
- Click the "Connection for parent object" picklist to see all the connections you have set up in this GBC org
- Select the connection you want the parent object to pull from
- Give your grid a name, and modify any of the default settings as-needed
- Click “Next” to auto-save your work and move to step 2
- Manage Grids Step 2 (children from other connections, field properties, data card, conditional formatting):
- Add fields from the parent object onto your grid
- Add fields for your children objects (from any of your connections):
- In the left column, type in the name of the child object you want to add to your grid (or scroll to find it)
- If it’s a related object within this same Salesforce connection, select it under “Related Objects”
- If you want to select an object from a different connection, click the “Select connection for additional objects” dropdown menu and pick the connection you need.
- Add fields for your children objects (from any of your connections):
Once you’ve selected an additional object, select the fields from that object and add them to your grid. Make sure you add the fields necessary to map the unrelated child object to your parent object.
