Issue:
I see an authentication popup whenever I try to load a grid in gridbuddyconnect.com or in Salesforce.
Solution:
There are four possible reasons for seeing an authentication popup.
-
Confirm that you have set up a “Default” record in GridBuddy Connect Settings. This creates the connection from the GridBuddy Connect managed package in Salesforce to your GridBuddy Connect org.
-
Click on the “GridBuddyConnectSettings” tab
-
Create a new record where the Name = “Default”
-
Paste the org ID copied from your GridBuddy Connect org (Organization > Connections)
-
-
If you changed your password in Salesforce, enter your username and new password into the authentication popup. That will give GridBuddy Connect your new information and the popup should disappear.
-
If the person who set up your Connection has changed their password, they will need to update it in GridBuddy Connect under Organization > Connections. This should make the popup disappear.
-
If your Admin or Standard user used OAuth to authenticate this org (recommended), all users will see the OAuth authentication prompt whenever their Salesforce session is timed out for that org.
