Export allows you to extract data from any standard or custom object in your CRM based on criteria you select.
Common Use Cases
- Export data for reporting and data visualization
- Export a back-up of a subset of data
- Make modifications to data in a spreadsheet and then upload changes
- Export deleted or archived activities
Starting an Export Scenario
To begin a new scenario, select Export from the module list on your Dashboard.
To start from an existing scenario, select an Export scenario from My Scenarios on your Dashboard. Your object and record selection criteria will already be set for you. You can keep all settings or change them as you go.
For large jobs, check the box beside Use the Bulk API. This option groups your records into larger batches, so it uses fewer API calls. Learn more about the Bulk API option.
Under the Object to Export dropdown menu, select the object you want to export.
- For example, select Account.
In the record selection criteria section, choose Add Selection Condition to narrow down the accounts included in your search. Learn more about Record Selection Criteria.

In this example, set the Account ID to not empty.
Fields to Export lets you select the fields included in your export file or select all fields. You must select at least one field before you can export records.
Before exporting records, you can choose to check the box beside Export deleted records & archived Task/Events. This will include soft-deleted records still in the recycling bin, archived Tasks, and archived Events from your CRM.
Besides Export you can expand a menu to both name your file and choose the file type (.csv or .xlsx).
To finish, select Export [x] Records.
